The Cadet Oath:
I pledge that I will serve faithfully in the Civil Air Patrol cadet program, and that I will attend meetings regularly, participate actively in unit activities, obey my officers, wear my uniform properly, and advance my education and training rapidly to prepare myself to be of service to my community, state and nation.
The Civil Air Patrol Mission Statement:
To serve America by performing Homeland Security and humanitarian missions for our communities, states, and nation; developing our country’s youth; and educating our citizens on the importance of air and space power.
The Civil Air Patrol Safety Pledge:
As a Civil Air Patrol member I pledge to promote an uncompromising safety environment for myself and others, and to prevent the loss of, or damage to Civil Air Patrol assets entrusted to me. I will perform all my activities in a professional and safe manner, and will hold myself accountable for my actions in all of our Missions for America.

The 12 General Orders of the Interior Guard:
- Take charge of this post and all designated property in view.
- Walk my post in a military manner, keeping always on the alert and observing anything within my sight or hearing.
- Report all violations of the orders I am instructed to enforce.
- Repeat all calls from other posts.
- Quit my post only when properly relieved.
- Receive, obey and pass on to the sentry who relieves me, all orders from the commander, officer of the day, officers and non-commissioned officers of the guard.
- Talk to no one except in the line of duty.
- Spread alarm in case of fire or disorder.
- Call the sergeant of the guard in any case not covered by instructions.
- Salute all officers, colors and standards not encased.
- To be especially watchful at night, and during the time for challenging, challenge all persons who come on or near my post.
- To show no force or use no force in the execution of my duties.
- I will take charge of my post, securing and protecting all personnel and property for which I am responsible until I am properly relieved.
- I will report all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce and will call my superior in any case not covered by instructions.
- I will give alarm in case of fire or emergency.
- I will use no force or show of force in the execution of my duties.
